Audience Member This documentary is director Dana Brown's follow-up to his 2005 film Dust to Glory, focusing on the Baja 1000 race, along over 850 miles of the rugged and grueling Mexican Baja Peninsula. Over 1500 participants and 270 vehicles, in 35 different classes (ranging from motorcycles, to VW Bugs, to super trucks) were entered to race against the clock.during the year of the filming. In my opinion, the movie can get unfocused as too many racers are featured, and we often only get glimpses of their histories. Thus, as they keep appearing throughout the film it's easy to get confused. Some of their backstories and motivations are quite remarkable, but I thought the viewer may have been better served by focusing on fewer entrants and then follow their paths during the race. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I am one of those who loved the original Dust to Glory years ago and still watch it relatively regularly, I honestly feel like going out and racing every time I watch it. This new one is good, however it has a different feel about it, quite a bit more somber and maybe a bit more down to earth. I did not leave the show wanting to go race in Baja, but still really liked the movie and will be seeing it again. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
