The end result is a competent little chiller, oftentimes using a less-is-more approach that works remarkably well with its limited resources. Go to Full Review

A worthwhile genre entry that's less about science playing God and more about the dangers of losing the ability to distinguish between reality and fantasy. Go to Full Review

Spencer B Oct 11 Predating Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, and clearly trying to cash in on its web-slinging momentum, Earth vs. the Spider is a film I genuinely wanted to like. It offers a darker, more grotesque spin on Marvel’s beloved hero, diving into territory that Disney or Sony would never dare explore. The practical effects and creature designs are top-notch, the story has potential, and Dan Aykroyd brings his trademark enthusiasm to this delightfully campy creature feature. In many ways, it feels like An American Werewolf in London meets Spider-Man, and in that sense alone, it’s worth a watch. Unfortunately, some of its execution falls flatter than a fly swatted by the morning newspaper. Still, for all its missteps, it stands as a far more entertaining Spider-Man horror flick than Madame Web or Morbius ever managed to be. See more 02/07/2018 From the bad reviews this got, I was expecting much worse. It's actually quite enjoyable if you're into indie horror flicks. See more 07/14/2016 A weird little film tackling the concept of superheroes lives not being all that it's cracked up to be, before Hollywood really started doing it in like every other superhero movie. The creature and makeup effects are on par with anything around at the time, and they still hold up today. They were by the same effects who did the original Jurassic Park. Sadly, the film is really dragged down by a poor plot, and even poorer acting from our main character. The supporting actors do their best, but when I'm supposed to sympathize with him and I don't, there's a problem there. See more 04/21/2016 fucking stupid ass fucking movie never should watched it See more 10/23/2014 Incredibly poor film. Spiderman and the hulk merged into one but with no budget.... See more 05/10/2013 Though it is not even close to the original storyline, I actually liked this Cronenbergy Fly approach. With some good performances and amazing make up effects by Stan Winston studios, this film is both entertaining and disturbing. Both of which it was trying to aim for. See more Read all reviews
