R H Unfortunately discards almost everything original and interesting from the books, replaced with hackneyed fantasy movie standards. Acting and production design is a bit uneven: good in places, rushed in others. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Gerard W I never expected to have anything positive to say about this "adaptation" of Ursula Le Guin's superb novel but I can now say that it is no longer the worst adaptation of a classic work of fantasy. Somehow, Rings of Power has managed to be an even more disrespectful adaptation of a beloved work of fantasy, combining a failure to respect or understand the source material, with some truly awful writing. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/22/22 Full Review Audience Member Holy Forking Shirtballs! What a travesty! Take the book, skim it then take a giant dump on it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Terrible depiction of an incredible book Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member A good story but poorly executed cgi and the feeling of rusched storytelling takes it down a few pegs. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member The books that this movie is based on were terrific so I was curious. The producers tried to cram three books into one long movie. The acting is just so-so and they added love interests and other stuff that wasn't in the books and distracted from the story.
