John J. Puccio Movie Metropolis ...the music and water ballets and the fact that Ms. Williams looks lovely contribute to making the film at least mildly entertaining. Rated: 5/10 Oct 18, 2009 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member The most-musical 01 hour: and 36 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member The greatest of all Esther Williams aqua-musicals. Excellent screenplay, fabulous Busby Berkeley - and lush three-strip Technicolor photography. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member another esther williams musical Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review ashley h Easy to Love is a decent film. It is about an aquatic performer who tries to attract the man she loves. Esther Williams and Van Johnson give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Charles Walter did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the romance. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Esther Williams' penultimate swimming musical for MGM is a pleasant time-filler; Van Johnson and Tony Martin fuss over Esther and there are several nice water ballets, including a spectacular Busby Berkeley water-skiing finale. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member ★★1/2 (out of four) Extravagant and colorful MGM musical where the well staged water shows and the musical numbers by Tony Martin upstages the recycled plot and silly delivery. Van Johnson plays the boss of a musical show in Palm Beach, Florida. His star performer (Esther Williams) is being wooed by her swimming partner (John Bromfield), a wealthy playboy (Tony Martin) and the boss himself. Williams is ravishing as usual and the setting is beautiful, but the musical extravaganza is wearing a bit thin.
