jelisije j This movie is a slow burn, but a well acted film. Its worth a watch just don't expect an action movie like their trailer was hinting at. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member good period pic /western Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member un western terne sur la religion poussé à bout avec la non violence devenant lâcheté. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie boosts some interesting ideas and ok performances but the movie was a note for 3/4 of it with bad pacing. Things get better in the end and I see what this movie wanted to do. It just needed a better director and script writer. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member A dark and tense drama that feels as authentic as it does poetic. Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter [A] sluggish post-Civil War drama directed and co-written by Kane Senes that wears its shopworn ideas too heavily on its sleeve. Aug 14, 2015 Full Review Peter Sobczynski RogerEbert.com A giant bore that presents viewers with the most familiar plot devices imaginable but fails to present them in a way that makes them worth sitting through once again. Rated: 1.5/4 May 15, 2015 Full Review Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times The somber period western "Echoes of War" retraces some well-traveled moral ground but is invigorated by a cast that includes James Badge Dale, Ethan Embry and William Forsythe. May 14, 2015 Full Review Kristian M. Lin Fort Worth Weekly This tale of the futility of revenge works well enough on its own modest terms. Aug 14, 2015 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film The film never achieves its potential in terms of tension. Rated: 3 May 26, 2015 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue The film's visuals and script fail to evoke the necessary sympathy, despite some committed performances.
