A junior high school student, Eddie Ogden (Taylor Ball) is an aspiring baseball player, but what he truly loves is cooking. Although he receives plenty of athletic encouragement from his father, Hank (Mark L. Taylor), who also serves as his team's coach, Eddie can't resist pursuing his culinary skills, and this decision ends up interfering with baseball. Despite the disappointment expressed by his dad and friends, Eddie presses on with his cooking and enters a high-profile competition.

Esses filmes que quebram paradigma são mais satisfatórios que a maioria dos bobinhos besteiróis infantis produzidos pela Disney nos anos 2000, muito interessante a abordagem, recheada de preconceitos e tradições patriarcais machistas, mas com uma mensagem todo fofinha e lindinha sobre seguir seus dons, e liberdade de escolhas, e principalmente rompendo a visão de que esportes são para meninas e cozinha para meninas… Exagero as guerras de comida, desnecessário...

This movie does an incredible job at layering a few messages from peoples expectations to self discovery. The narrative is pushed forward by engaging characters heart and wit making this movie a very entertaining DCOM

Intriguing and fair with a well-cooked heart and early enforcing individualism on the side, but the gameplay's recipe is predictable and mean-spirited at times before the satisfying tasteful hit of resolution. (B)
