joe m Taut suspense film that is formulaic but with a few surprises. Ana de Armas is spectacular. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review william s Unwatchable....purely unwatchable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A lazy script which lacks of imagination in this dull horror film. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Rosa is a beautiful housekeeper who wants to break into the dance industry. When she receives a positive voice message saying that all she has to do is win a final round audition, Rosa opts to do some late night laundry at a 24 Laundromat. Rosa ends up matching wits with a handsome and charming serial killer named Gabriel, and the game of cat and mouse begins. The biggest problem with Blind Alley is that it a solid movie without the twist. It is revealed that Gabriel and his partner are vampires, and they plan on feasting on Rosa's blood. The homeless man from earlier ends up returning to help her fight them off, but the writer decides to insert a three minute flashback during the final climax of the movie. Even so, the movie ends up on a more ridiculous level when Rosa doesn't face off with Gabriel (with the fire extinguisher shown five times), and instead he runs out into the sunlight and dies a gory and cool melting death. When you think the movie can't get more ridiculous, it does. Rosa finds her sister dead in the alley, and when she turns her back her sister revives and attacks her, ending the film. The movie even establishes that a killed victim needs a vampire's blood to turn, but the movie ignores that rule for a bloody and unneeded sad ending. Perhaps with a better second half, Blind Alley would have been a suspense thriller classic. Instead, the solid acting and set design are wasted on a movie that has a weird genre twist that comes out of left field, and an even more ridiculous ending. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice Spanish horror. Good suspense with a very low budget. Why can't Italian cinema industry produce anything else but comedies and dramas??? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Stephen Lambrechts Neon Maniacs Even with its final act drop-of-the-ball, BLIND ALLEY is easy to recommend to fans of stylish Euro horror flicks, and to anyone who longs for a return of the good old days, when style and colourful camera-work reigned supreme.
