Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member García Márquez addresses familiar themes and social violence through a theatrical adaptation that feels to the bones - The symbols employed enrich the mechanics of a couple facing the ambitions of those around them and the stormy tortures that the death of their son has inherited them. 93/100 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member very slow in the story, it not catchs Gabo spirit Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member It was an incredibly sad, depressing and poignant movie. I did love the colonel and his wife, but the fact no good news ever came, and that the ending broke my heart, made me really wish I hadn't started watching this movie. The villagers were harsh people, and Salma Hayek was great as the streetwalker who loved their son, but I think the real credit goes to the Colonel and his wife for their portrayal of despair and love through it all. If you can handle a real tear-jerker, a great film. A Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member En verdad solo por el tema , por ke me parecio demasiado "plana" Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member As bad as "love in the time of cholera" what is gonna be next a remake of Rulfo's "Pedro Paramo" with Gael Garcia Bernal. Ripstein is great making a film like "Principio y Fin" Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Read all reviews
