Answer: pretty bad. I liked her as Dory, sure, but real-life Ellen? Not so charming. The crowd was weirdly hyped, cheering like she cured cancer after every smug remark. It felt like a gaslit fever dream. She talks about getting "cancelled" like she’s proud of it—zero remorse, all victim complex. I came for a glimmer of accountability, maybe a genuine apology. Instead, I got 70 minutes of eye rolls and nose exhales, with maybe 15 minutes of passable stand-up buried beneath a thick layer of self-pity. I didn’t even *want* to laugh, and when a joke landed, I felt gross for chuckling. If this was her redemption tour, it missed the off-ramp.
