Tirdad Derakhshani Philadelphia Inquirer Elliot Loves is a terrific example of the best in microbudget filmmaking which will appeal to gay and straight audiences alike. Jul 12, 2012 Full Review David Lamble Bay Area Reporter Terracino makes flashy use of parallel story structure to give us an Hispanic American queer-boy hero who finally transcends his ghetto-bound mom's soap opera fantasies. Audience Member Nothing profound, original or surprising ...but still a truly enjoyable film: simple and sweet. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Shot on a very low budget with inexperienced actors, this is one of those movies in which you can see the filmmaker learning his craft as he goes along. There are some terrific moments here, and a strong sense of character and story, but writer-director Terracino encourages the actors to wildly overplay every scene. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A rather sweet film about a serial monogamist's quest for reciprocated love. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Predictable, but the lead performance is so good that you go along for the ride. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member kinda "bumpy", but there were fleeting, likable/ touching little moments. gotta give it to the elliots of the worlds for always coming back up no matter how many times life deals its shitty hands. the most brilliant scene had to be the opening sequence, hilarious. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Mixed quality acting, and sickly sweet. Not my choice of subject matter.
