When Blitzen suddenly announces his retirement, Santa needs to find a replacement. Against all odds, Elliot and his best friend, Hazel, set out to prove that he is the horse for the job. As Elliot and Hazel take on the North Pole reindeer try-outs, Hazel learns that Christmas, as we know it, may be headed for disaster. Meanwhile, back at the farm, a sinister lady threatens the lives of their friends, and Elliot is faced with the biggest decision of his life.

The entire thing is so misjudged, with a plot that is cloying, saccharine and poorly sketched out. It's like a Frankenstein's Monster of a Christmas animation, picking and mixing the various parts of much loved, and much better, movies.

While muddled with some unnecessary minor storylines as well as cliché yet sweet themes, with animation this cute and voice performances this funny, Elliot The Littlest Reindeer is ultimately a bit of a unique take on classic Christmas characters.

I don't understand why the majority of people hate/don't like this movie. There are odd characters, but this characters are for kids, so it's normal. Elliot is the most beautiful character in this movie and the story is okay

I really like this movie! Watched with my 10 Year old - it has nice animation and good actors. The story has some original plot ideas &the movie is great to explore discussions about values: courage, integrity, the importance of truth, facing your fears, staying true to your heart, believing in yourself, the value of friendship and and supporting each other. It was definite a feel good film. Hazel the goat 🐐 is sassy and fun. Elliot is cute and kind and brave but not cocky — I would says it's good for kids who are aged 4-10. If you have young kids and want to talk about values this is a great seasonal film !
