      Tanisha R Before people see the new Priscilla movie, they should check this one out. It was really good and told from Priscilla's perspective. I believe this was a TV movie and that could be why it was forgotten. But the acting is great and Dale as Elvis is spot on. The music is properly included and not just thrown away. Elvis was the biggest wolf on the planet and "Cilla" was so blind. And the Army facilitated their meeting! In the Army, Elvis gets crush on a 14 year old. He treats her like dirt but she just keeps wanting him. Didn't see a great resemblence to Elvis by Dale Midkiff as Elvis, but for me Susan Walters as Priscilla stole the show. The music dubbing was well done and Midkiff's copy of Elvis was adequate. In the book, Priscilla talks about meeting Elvis, their marriage, and the factors that led up to the couple's divorce. The book rights were purchased in 1987, and in 1988 it was made into a television movie written by Joyce Eliason, directed by Larry Peerce, and starring Dale Midkiff as Elvis and Susan Walters as Priscilla. This very shy and protected girl (by her parents) suddenly is wisked off to the King's bedroom. I guess that happened all the time in Germany, the place Elvis was stationed at the time.
