Audience Member LOVE, LOVE, LOVED this movie. In every way this movie spoke volumes on so many levels about our culture and how it shapes how we view others...and most strikingly how we can degrade ourselves. Even when our natural state is love others and ourselves. Incredible message and incredibly well done. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful movie! A must see for every woman and for every guy who loves women! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member A movie about educating women to love the body they have, instead of trying to get the glossy magazine body. Leslie Felperin Guardian It has an indisputably worthy message, and should be essential viewing for young people. Rated: 3/5 Jan 12, 2017 Full Review Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald At 90 minutes, the film is too long, but it is never dull, partly because it's edited with pace and humour. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 5, 2016 Full Review David Stratton The Australian Taryn Brumfitt made the Australian documentary feature Embrace with the avowed aim of persuading women to be positive about their bodies. Rated: 3/5 Aug 5, 2016 Full Review Charlotte Harrison VultureHound The documentary is just like Taryn -- engaging, refreshing and totally accessible. A blend of talking head interviews and honest anecdotes inform and enlighten the viewer. Jan 27, 2020 Full Review Keeva Stratton Rescu (Australia) Through her strong message of self-acceptance, Taryn shifts the focus of bodies and physical health to that of mental health; demonstrating that our obsession with image, especially the unattainable, is doing more damage that many may suspect.
