Valquria G Parabéns aos envolvidos, o filme está demais! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/25/23 Full Review Claudiu I It seems the film only scratched the surface of such complex subject. Human suffering is what makes us, viewers, to understand injustice. Image is not impressive, acting is good. Characters have some inconsistencies and they seem to not fully understanding the gravity of situation. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Alessandro H Terrible, terrible movie. The acting is ok, but the story is a boring and long experience. During the entire movie I was just waiting for it to end. Do not watch it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/10/22 Full Review Audience Member Although the movie story telling is really monotonous, however, I am happy that finally someone decided to show how destructive this Islamic Revolution has been to Iran. A bunch of thugs and scum-bags took over and destroyed my beautiful country. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member It captures what it might feel like to be caught and at the mercy of an oppressive and unpredictable regime. It brought out the common humanity of torturer and tortured. An extremely engrossing film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member A reminder of how a theocracy replaced a so-called kingdom, this movie is light on details but does show how movements aren't as pure as they profess. Roxana Hadadi Punch Drunk Critics There might be some way to depict the Iranian Revolution on film, but Septembers of Shiraz is not it. Rated: 1.5/5 Jan 9, 2017 Full Review Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) A wildly inauthentic American melodrama about the 1979 Iranian revolution. Rated: 1.5/5 Jul 7, 2016 Full Review Godfrey Cheshire RogerEbert.com Another vacuous melodrama/thriller that doesn't lay a glove on the era's historical complexities. Rated: 0.5/4 Jun 24, 2016 Full Review Mae Abdulbaki Movies with Mae The lack of emotion and depth makes for a movie that is hard to sit through, and all because it decides to tell and not show. Rated: 1.5/5 Aug 22, 2018 Full Review Jim Schembri 3AW Though the film has failed to make any impression, it is an effectively mounted portrait of how regime change can help mask the agendas of the lawless. That two highly-regarded indigenous filmmakers would dare take on such a risky project deserves kudos. Rated: 3/5 Dec 26, 2016 Full Review Andrew L.
