Martyn Conterio CineVue The plot is structured to keep the audience guessing, and it does take the trio and the story to imaginative places. Rated: 3/5 Feb 2, 2015 Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat Has a nice Twilight Zone-style vibe to it, yet the story tips its hand too soon, thanks to some clues that might as well have been lit by neon signs. Webb V For a low budget film this hits a lot of highs. It's 90 minutes you will not regret spending. 4.5 not 5.0 because of the jerky camera scene towards the end. Maybe in the 3rd or 4th remake Kevin's dating standards will go up a notch or two. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/12/24 Full Review Joe S I'm learning about standard deviations and gaussian distribution right now, and I feel as though the public's perception of this movie is hampered by a small sample size. It might gain traction if it wasn't so obscure. I don't doubt it had a mediocre initial reception; in 2011, the movie industry was a well-oiled machine. Billions were poured into production and masterpieces were regurgitated every week. With expectations at an all time high, a movie like this couldn't compete. Fortunately, time is on the side of this movie. After being underwhelmed by most of what I've watched since the pandemic, this movie was comparatively great. The actors were engaging and the story was far-out. It didn't feel empty. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/09/24 Full Review Jeffrey P Borderline great mystery and suspense, tinged with fantasy horror. The twists are predictable but it kept my attention throughout and I was not left feeling disappointed with the end, what more can one want from what is basically a three-person independent horror film? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/25/24 Full Review Jason M While it's not the best acted, most visually stunning, or perfectly paced movie you'll ever watch, it does make up for it with an interesting premise and just enough questions to keep you engaged. Definitely worth a watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/02/24 Full Review Linda J A favorite sci-fi mystery thriller. I won't spoil anything, but will say that a mystery slowly unfolds among strangers stranded in an isolated woodsy cabin. It could be boring, but never is because of great acting, screenplay, and character development. There is a satisfactory conclusion, unlike many films of this genre. Worth watching. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/30/24 Full Review Gloria R Very interesting and quite frankly one of the most creatively written movies i have seen in years,I was fully engrossed once it picked up some pace.i took one star off because the beginning was slow and blah ,I could have easily lost interest and missed out on a great movie if not for the preview and high score given by the critics .overall, great script Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Read all reviews
