RICHARD S Apr 21 Potentially good story, but not too well directed. Lupino, usually excellent, very uneven in this role -- especially in introductory scene. Gig Young, incredibly handsome at this age, show more potential here than he allowed in later years. Flynn is unusually restrained, excellent in an unusual role. Overall, worth a watch because of this all star cast. But excuse the sub standard direction and script. See more Michael F 08/04/2024 I like Ida Lupino's films, but this is not one of her best, though it seems she does her best to try to save it. Errol Flynn as a composer is not believable. The film meanders and drags until the last 20 minutes. See more steve d 01/09/2023 Extremely dated and unpleasant. See more 06/21/2012 flynn shines and looks well, hot. See more 09/23/2010 awesome post WWII wart movie all star cast See more 01/01/2010 5.5/10. Very melodramatic, actually a bit silly at times, and if it wasn’t for the terrific cast it wouldn’t be as bearable. Ida Lupino is a bit over the top though, Errol Flynn is fine though. It’s just a bit much. See more Read all reviews
