Event Horizon is sci fi horror at its best. Movies like this and Alien that answer the question, what's out there? In a delightfully horrifying way. Cast is solid, story is solid even with its 90s cheese but that just adds to the vibe. Still holds up in 2025, a must watch for the horror genre.

It's not as bad as you think and it is still a great horror film. A diverse cast, good gore, and even a little bit of a ghost story, it's a fun scary ride and it's aged well. A film not for everyone, but if you like this kind of film, can't go wrong with this one!!!

Greetings from Lithuania. "Event Horizon" (1997) is mix of films like "Alien" and every haunted house movie ever made except that this one takes place in space. What separates "Event Horizon" from a crowd is a sense of location and also kind of unique setting for a genre and great acting. All of the actors do sell the material here wonderfully, even when script or directing felt short. The premise while not an original is good for this type of film, and at its core "Event Horizon" is haunted house horror flick set in space. Overall, "Event Horizon" is a good film only if you are in a mood for something in a terms of a science fiction mixed with horror and thriller. I liked the premise, setting, mood and acting so much that they overcome big flaws of this film.
