I don’t know if this movie could have been much worse. You’re forced to suspend your disbelief for the first hour of the movie when the protagonists could have disarmed and killed their kidnappers at any point, it’s almost as if the main characters wanted to remain in custody. When the revelations start coming, it’s clear how absolutely nonsensical the plot of this movie really is. The payoff made zero sense and the reaction of the main characters is even less cogent. This is an insane movie. I believe it was supposed to paint a picture of how terrible this man is but that’s completely lost in the inane plot and awful writing.

This movie makes you wonder what is going on. From home invasion to... something else, but you cant quite figure out what. That mystery is what drives this movie. Original, fun, definitely uncomfortable, but well wortht th watch.

As a x-Navy SEAL… there were times early on in the film where dad could have disarmed the bad guys and shot the hell out of them. This fact alone lost my interest immediately… and it looks as though I was right, all bad reviews.
