acsdoug D Is it my imagination or did Japanese cinema take a dive in the 60s? From the silents through the 50s the Japanese put out some truly great movies. Then the 60s hit and every film maker apparently wanted to go avant garde. While the exploration of previously taboo topics is welcome, the addition of a mediocre jazz soundtracks just can't save the weak stories. To me, it's the triumph of style over substance, Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Read all reviews
