Audience Member This movie is incredibly twisted. There's no taboo it doesn't tackle. So bad it's great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Ok, the premise behind this film may be a bit hard to swallow. I'll admit that. But the surreal mind trip of killings, overt sexual overtones and enough of the crimson gore to make any gore fiend happy meant this film was right up my alley. The film almost had an Italian giallo feel to it right down to the music. Of course, I'd say there's a lot more blood than a giallo film and it's beyond the surreal aspects you would usually find in that genre as well. Still, I couldn't help think of the genre while watching the film. Even the pacing seemed on par. Evil Dead Trap 2 is very dark and dimly lit for the most part which makes it difficult to make out what's happening at times. This film is not for everybody. Mainstream audiences simply wouldn't enjoy it. Those of you who like your horror films with lots of blood and gore and who aren't adverse to some art house surrealism and bizzarete would likely love Evil Dead Trap 2. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Boring follow-up is neither as gory nor as weird as the original. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I didn't think this was half as good as the first one - doesn't seem to have anything in common with it. Disappointed. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Holy crap this movie is a mess. It?s got a gore for no reason, self-pleasuring and street bjs, out of place settings that are strictly for scary atmosphere and ghost kids before the whole craze. Somewhere in there, a story is supposed to be unfolding, but it doesn?t make much sense. And what does come out is one of those taboo subjects of abortions, which isn?t giving that much away. Even better is that everyone is wearing something that was probably the height of fashion in the mid-80?s but makes the whole thing look off. And these are also some strange looking Japanese people, every one. I?ve never seen such a collection of the full spectrum of Japanese physical appearances. I could barely sit through the entire thing and instead just marveled at what lengths they would go to for gore and if they were showing certain things because of a Japanese fetish. So be it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I didn't think this was half as good as the first one - doesn't seem to have anything in common with it. Disappointed.
