Nell Minow RogerEbert.com Director Matthew Dyas has an ideal documentary subject in Fiennes, an arresting character of remarkable accomplishment. Rated: 3.5/4 Aug 31, 2022 Full Review Christy Lemire FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It is a little distancing, but I appreciate that he is a low key guy. Aug 26, 2022 Full Review Edward Porter Times (UK) ... More a leisurely wander than a grand adventure. Rated: 3/5 Aug 24, 2022 Full Review Nuha Hassan Nuha Hassan Even if Explorer doesn’t get into the depths of Ranulph’s passion for the sport, it shows a pleasant and motivating perspective of the world’s greatest to push himself to the limit. Sep 8, 2023 Full Review Michael Clark Epoch Times You know that guy, the salt-and-pepper-haired dude hawking “Dos Equis” beer on TV, online, and in thousands of subsequent memes? The one who is touted as being “The Most Interesting Man in the World?” He can’t hold a candle to Ranulph Fiennes. Rated: 5/5 Oct 4, 2022 Full Review Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat Spirituality & Practice Documentary portrait of the man considered to be the world’s greatest living explorer. simon j Very interesting, thrilling and informative story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Marle G Its a shame, but this documentary film is truly terrible, nearly unwatchable but we pushed through because after all we paid to see it. From the compilation of illegible soundclips and telephone calls to the confusing jumping around all over the place with the timeline. Also nothing about his hovercraft expedition and discovering Ubar. Would love a refund. Dont know what they tried to do with this documentary movie, Unthinkable that such an interesting person's life story can be butchered by the film maker to this extent. Watched the Sydney Portier documentary prior, it is excellent, executed beautifully. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/12/22 Full Review greg r When your own life is so exciting you are bored in a movie about the most prolific explorer of your time. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review ryan gordon f This was epic so good a must see. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
