10/07/2024 Poe's works are adapted well enough but were not the choice of works I would have liked to see adapted to screen. The artistry was quite pleasant but the animation felt as lifeless as many of the subjects of Poe's stories. Yet another adaptation of 'The Tell-Tale Heart' was wildly unnecessary and should have been excluded from this anthology in lieu of a lesser-known or more interesting Poe tale. What was included was done well enough but much of what was depicted did not feel extraordinary in the slightest. See more Joe S 10/17/2023 Awesome animation with Poe's horror tales. Valdemar", "The Pit and the Pendulum", and "The Masque of the Red Death"). With incredible narrators and different stunning and spellbinding styles of animation, it leaves us wishing for more. Poe's stories are heart-pounding and unique and even though some stories manage to capture his excellent writing, others fall short. It has good animation and good voice actors (especially with Christopher Lee, Bela Lugosi and Guillermo del Toro who are my favorite celebrities) See more 01/11/2018 Was on cell for all of it bc didn't find it appealing.
