This is in contrast to many modern documentaries where talking heads speak impressionistically (wow this, wow that, imagine this, etc) as if the producers are worried the audience will otherwise get bored. Rated 4.5/5 Stars •  Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Aike A rather one-sided documentary: every scene seems to have the sole purpose of confirming what is evident from the start: the blame for WWI lies squarely on Austria-Hungary/Germany. Especially since this is a Serbian production, it would have been interesting to see anything on the role of Great-Serbia nationalism and the support that the assassin of Archduke Ferdinand received from Serbian intelligence. Instead the whole murder gets only 20 seconds - unbelievable! Instead of giving a Serbian perspective, the producers seem to dislike even having to mention this at all. I found the book "The Sleepwalkers" by Christopher Clark to be a great read for a more nuanced view on the dynamic that led to the war. This movie unfortunately is too biased and one-sided to be watchable. Er versucht dabei allen Seiten gerecht zu werden, und will historisch korrekt sein… . Er beschreibt vorzüglich den langen Weg zur Katastrophe, des ersten Weltkriegs zur „Ursünde des Zwanzigern Jahrhunderts".
