Dubbed "the greatest that never was," Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt) was FORMULA 1's most promising phenom of the 1990s until an accident on the track nearly ended his career. Thirty years later, he's a nomadic racer-for-hire when he's approached by his former teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), owner of a struggling FORMULA 1 team that is on the verge of collapse. Ruben convinces Sonny to come back to FORMULA 1 for one last shot at saving the team and being the best in the world. He'll drive alongside Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), the team's hotshot rookie intent on setting his own pace. But as the engines roar, Sonny's past catches up with him and he finds that in FORMULA 1, your teammate is your fiercest competition--and the road to redemption is not something you can travel alone.

This works as a duology with writer/director Joseph Kosinski’s last film, Top Gun 2: There’s Still Lead in This Pencil! I thought that movie was the most egregious massaging of the aging white male ego, but I stand corrected. Go to Full Review

While Brad Pitt effortlessly conveys Sonny's turmoil and edge, it's the breathtaking racing scenes that pack the hardest punch. Oh, and using a Led Zeppelin classic to kick things off isn't a bad idea at all. Go to Full Review

It delivered one of the best movie experiences I’ve had in a long time. Sitting in the Ford X seats made it feel even more immersive — like I was right in the middle of the action. I would rewatch this movie anytime, over and over again. It was fun, exciting, and completely engaging from start to finish. I loved every minute of it. I think everyone should see this movie.
