Audience Member Exceptional, communicative, and reaches the Heart ❤️ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This film was both emotional and truthful about friendship and how all we really need is one good friend to help us through our darkest moments Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/06/19 Full Review Audience Member Many of the reviews I see are bleakly vague and under explained. I believe the acting is terrific, many say that the acting was mediocre, but I believe that that feeling is what made the acting great. The whole story is between two regular teens from different status quo just talking on a communication application casually. This is what the acting was suppose to achieve: casual conversation, yet subtle changes in tone and behavior. This was especially interesting seeing as how most of the actors' screen time was performed only on a quarter or more of the actual size of the screen. This movie is mostly accurate in depicting how internet friendships start out and grow in our current generation (many of which the current reviewers for the movie wouldn't understand since they never experienced this before). The actors are able to convey real emotions and act together in such a way that feels as if their relationship is real and that they both made a real connection. It is also interesting how the movie has a more obvious undertone besides the motif of friendship in the movie which are hot topic issues in our current society. I won't say any further because as to not spoil the movie for you, as well as I was thoroughly surprised when each of the character's secrets were revealed. All through out the movie you can't help but to keep your eyes glued to the screen, feel some sort of empathy for both characters emotions and situations, as well as hoping for them to finally meet and see each other in person. All in all this movie is amazing in it's idea and how it was carried out all the while giving you a sweet and satisfying ending that left this reviewer in tears. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member I liked it. Interesting twists along the way that keep it from being one of those where you know from the start how it's going to turn out. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The first 10 minutes or so weren't a fantastic start - I think the writing could have been improved by fleshing out the characters and their motivations more. Without getting in to spoilers, the reason why Teel reaches out to Madison is contradicted later in the film. A small amount of rewriting could have fixed this issue. The acting was believable and the format worked for the film. At first the Skype thing seemed gimmicky, but it is necessary and important for the end result of the story. Really glad this was recommended to me on Netflix, I enjoyed it a lot. There is some potentially triggering material, but it's handled very well and the audience knows what they're about to see in the moments before it happens, which is a fair warning to those who should not view some violent content. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member this movie really touched me. it id heart breaking and it tells a story of two teens that fights problems that are common nowadays. and im not gonna lie,,,i kinda started tearing in the end Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
