Failure! follows James (Ted Raimi - The Quarry, Ash v Evil Dead, Creepshow) who has a big debt with the bank and is given one hour to choose between financial ruin or murder in order to protect his family. As the hour progresses he finds his home and phone invaded by multiple characters pulling him in different directions, gradually adding to his distress and his unravelling. Director Alex Kahaum definitely deserves another look and, of course, Ted Raimi is always going to be a welcome addition no matter where he is. As far as Failure! goes, though, neither of them do enough to warrant an earnest watch.

"Failure!" is a film that premiered in 2025, though it was shot and completed in 2023, leading to some confusion regarding its actual release timeline. The entire narrative unfolds within the confines of a single location: a man's home, where a variety of other characters make appearances throughout the story. Unfortunately, the film suffers from a lack of energy, creativity, and overall engagement. It feels as if the screenwriter relied heavily on clichés, stitching together elements from other movies without bringing anything original to the table. The low-budget production is evident, resulting in a film that feels stagnant, with minimal character development and no meaningful progression. Overall, it’s a forgettable experience that leaves much to be desired. I found myself thoroughly disappointed by "Failure!"—not that I had high expectations, but it was simply dull beyond measure. This is one of those films I cannot endorse. It seems to have targeted a specific audience, though it's hard to determine who that might be, given its lack of quality.
