Kevin Crust Los Angeles Times The scenario isn't entirely plausible, but the actors are engaging and you can't beat the running time. Apr 27, 2007 Full Review Ed Gonzalez Slant Magazine This idiotic crime comedy begins as a heated Sophia Petrillo flashback only to continue as a lobotomized Guy Ritchie caper. Rated: 1.5/4 Aug 19, 2006 Full Review Jamie Russell BBC.com All blag and no substance. Rated: 2/5 Apr 1, 2006 Full Review David Cornelius DVDTalk.com Fakers is pleasant, passable entertainment, even if it's all too lightweight. Rated: 3/5 Dec 5, 2007 Full Review Christopher Null Filmcritic.com just doesn't have enough pep or twists to maintain interest in the long run. Rated: 3/5 Sep 6, 2007 Full Review Paul Malcolm L.A. Weekly Such artless inattention to the con man's craft might be overlooked if any of the characters or performers had the personality to pull one over on us, the audience. Audience Member Excellent entertainment. An enjoyable 1 hour 18 mins. What more do you want from this film? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review don s This is one of those films that are a conundrum: on one hand there is nothing special about it (con game movie with a plot that is old as time and none too believable, so-so acting), and on the other hand there is just enough meat on the bones of the story to keep your interest, the sexual tension is well played, and the pacing is good enough so that you do not hate yourself for watching it. The accents are very understandable too (not always the case in movies from Great Britain). Don't go in expecting much, and you'll find a quaintly amusing con game that is short enough feel like it is over in the blink of an eye. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A bit lightweight but entertaining nontheless. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Really good. A bit stressful some times:-) Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This film is ACE!!! Not only did my cousin produce it (Luke G Jones) but the storyline is wonderful. I think of it as a small budget Ocean's Twelve: Having to pay off all the debts. And the car chase is magnificant!! In the SmartCar!! But bloody Da Vinci Code went and stole the idea!! I still think this is the 5th best film in the world after Ocean's 11 and 12 and Shrek 1 and 2! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A great caper movie! Love Matthew Rhys' performance! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
