David Jenkins Little White Lies Falling Into Place, plays like a finely-honed piece of Rooney-core for the big screen. Rated: 3/5 Jun 6, 2025 Full Review Deborah Ross The Spectator I knew within the first few minutes we were in safe hands and I was set to like this Aylin Tezel. In Falling Into Place she’s created a literate and sensitive romance that is allowed to unfold gently. Jun 5, 2025 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian It is like the world’s longest TV banking ad without the humour that something like this needs. Yet for all its faults it’s an honest, flawed attempt to show how complicated it is to meet someone in your 30s. Rated: 2/5 Jun 2, 2025 Full Review Jack Martin Film Feeder A firm if flawed look at modern love that delves deeper into the psychosis of it all than most other films of its type, all while announcing Tezel as a filmmaking force to keep a close eye on going forward. Rated: 3/5 Jun 5, 2025 Full Review Emma Simmonds The List A few understandable contrivances aside, Falling Into Place feels refreshingly authentic as it presents two flawed and flailing characters who need to figure things out and fix themselves, before they can successfully come together. Rated: 4/5 Jun 3, 2025 Full Review Calum Cooper In Their Own League “Falling into Place” is ultimately about the turbulence of life and romance, using its character studies and meaty story to reassure the audience that it will all be okay in the end. Nicholas B A strong directorial and writing debut for Aylin Tezel, this romantic drama deserves more buzz in critical circles and on streaming platforms. It follows a few months in the lives of a thirty-something Scot and German who spend a brief moment together on the Isle of Skye, before returning to London to continue navigating uncertain professional and romantic destinies. Although the plot arc is not fully original, the acting is stellar and the technical camera work is memorable. With flashes of humour and pathos, it highlights the challenges of combining professional growth with lasting love.
