Chris L So silly, but can enjoy the cool, hip 60s vibe Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/21/24 Full Review Audience Member Only MST3K could make this thing more than half a star. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A sort of poor man's Danger Diabolik... just infinitely more insane. Too bad that obvious lack of money puts the kibosh on anything really exciting happening. You're left with people in ridiculous outfits saying (or whoever dubbed them saying) ridiculous things moving along a ridiculous plot (all great), but not a single set-piece to match those levels of ridiculosity (oh look I invented another word). But oh man, do I love that theme song. "Ba da baaa! Ba dada da da!" Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Terrifically satiric mix of Eurospy and Italian Superhero cinema, with a bizarrely anti-heroic lead. Like Kriminal, Diabolik, the Three Fantastic Supermen, Superargo, Fantomas and Judex, Argoman is a guy who likes to play dress up and pick fights. But rather than being clearly heroic or villainous, Argoman prefers to act as a sort of international horndog of mystery. Jackassing across the globe, psychically inducing his foes into murdering one another, and saving national treasures only to then snag the historic loot for himself. Argoman spends much of the film schmoozing the super-villainess Jenabell, the self-proclaimed "Queen of the World". The only real conflict in the film seems to be whether he can restrain his sleazy impulses long enough to save the world from her scheme. Directed by "Terence Hathaway", aka Sergio Grieco, with a terrific score by Piero Umiliani. This film is getting a legitimate release from Dorado Films, and judging by the trailer - it should look great: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6330234704183840922 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
