Audience Member I was stunned after watching this film. The directing is beautiful. The actors are handsome. The effects are outstanding. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Love this movie!! Second time watching it. The first time was in 2010 at the Doha TriBeCa Film Festival (DTFF). Farsan (Balls) is a nuanced look at masculinity. Brilliant stuff!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Quite fun I think! :) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member This is partly a fish-out-of-water story, with one of the characters being an immigrant who doesn't quite understand modern Swedish culture, but it is mostly a story about family and friendship, how essential and life-enhancing these relationships can be. It is unquestionably a comedy but it is a rich and satisfying one which will leave you with great affection for the characters, the story, and the movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a wonderful movie that never hit a false note for me. It is laugh out loud hilarious at times (including the funniest scene about making a salad that you'll ever see on the screen), but also very touching, and I for one had a few tears in my eye at the end of the film. The character of Aziz, played sympathetically by Jan Fares, had certain ideas that were often naive, and he didn't always understand Swedish society or social convention, but he was absolutely not a buffoon, and his heart was always in the right place. I also liked the relationship between his son and daughter-in-law, as well as the side stories involving Aziz's two co-workers. Highly recommended.
