Housos really surprised me. For such a brash, ridiculous show, I just couldn't help myself, I had to watch every episode. The ultimate guilty pleasure. Fat Pizza was pretty big when I was in high school. I didn't really watch it then, but most of my mates did and it was quoted frequently. But when I heard that they were making a crossover film, I was more than a little excited. How did they go?
Well the writing is both brilliant and horrible at the same time. They managed to include just about every important character from both franchises, all of them getting some sort of story arc. Which is really cool, you can tell that they love the characters and want to give the fans what they want. But this over saturation of characters hurts any progression in the film. It takes way too long to advance the main story because we keep jumping back and forward between characters. It runs way too long, and there is a second part to this film, so you don't even get a conclusion!
But it does feel like an extended version of the show, and I was laughing out loud the whole way through. It's fast, furious, brutal and hilarious at the same time but it's an acquired taste. So if you like the show, you must check out this movie.

I mostly enjoyed this Australian film, which started out well but got too crazy towards the end. Fans of the two TV series will probably enjoy this somewhat fabricated piece of Australian "Culture" 6/10 Rev 178
