Bill T 03/05/2023 Despite the jolly-ho ending, I thought this was a fun adaptation of Crime and Punishment as a Film Noir! All the elements are there, and this does make a grand attempt at it. Ending is a COMPLETE cop-out though, maybe even a DOUBLE cop-out. But the build-up is quite clever. But, days after screening the movie I deliberated with myself about the film's quality because it cast a certain spell. I can't, beyond a reasonable doubt, find against the film.
