Bill T Despite the jolly-ho ending, I thought this was a fun adaptation of Crime and Punishment as a Film Noir! All the elements are there, and this does make a grand attempt at it. Ending is a COMPLETE cop-out though, maybe even a DOUBLE cop-out. But the build-up is quite clever. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Loosely based on the Russian novel Crimes and Punishment, the film is guilty of some lackluster performances and low production values. But, days after screening the movie I deliberated with myself about the film's quality because it cast a certain spell. I can't, beyond a reasonable doubt, find against the film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Low-budget film noir based on Crime & Punishment.
