Critics Consensus

Josh Hartnett's go-for-broke performance gives Fight of Flight wings, sustaining this daffy action-comedy at an entertaining cruising altitude that refreshingly doesn't wear out its welcome.

Kristy Puchko Mashable This is a movie where a disavowed spy fires up a chainsaw on an airplane in flight. Get on board, or be bored elsewhere. May 16, 2025 Full Review Robert Daniels New York Times Hartnett and Chandran’s laid back chemistry steady the film’s turbulent tonal shifts, adding a punch that the shakily choreographed action lacks. May 10, 2025 Full Review Katie Walsh Tribune News Service Surprisingly, Hartnett’s Lucas hasn’t worn out his welcome, even if the movie around him has fallen apart midair. Ergo, the old truism has never been truer: When it comes to “Fight or Flight,” your mileage may vary. Rated: 2/4 May 10, 2025 Full Review Alfred Castaneda Shade Studios Fight or Flight avoids being a hammy mess by combining B-movie sensibilities with A-movie ambitions. The action is top-notch—violent and high-energy. Jul 30, 2025 Full Review Sammie Purcell Rough Draft Atlanta “Fight or Flight” is by no means great, and a little too complicated for its own good. But it is a reminder of what the best version of this type of movie is – low budget, kind of dumb in a fun way, starring a guy who’s willing to push it to the limit. Jul 18, 2025 Full Review Pete Vonder Haar Houston Press Most of what follows is familiar if you've seen The Raid or Bullet Train or Free Fire or … you get the idea. Meccassault Nothing groundbreaking by any means, but it is a fun action-packed ride from the getgo. Josh shows he's very much in full form, and it's good to see him leading films again. I thoroughly enjoyed this popcorn flick. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/26/25 Full Review Alex Way more and better than expected, love Josh Hartnett and following Trap this was good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/20/25 Full Review TokixDoki Showing the third act at the beginning of your movie is usually a bad sign to me, but the movie was good enough that I'll let it slide. The movie does take a little while to start rolling, but when it does, it's quite enjoyable. Although, I felt like they saved the whackiness for the third act because they just DID NOT CARE! Loved that part! The only downside I can think of is that it was too reminiscent of Bullet Train except now it's on a plane. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/04/25 Full Review Eyrdie R love the action and all the actors in it! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 05/28/25 Full Review Trent Just as bad as Mikey 17. Disappointed. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/27/25 Full Review Charles very good action movie right up their with John wick and boy kill's world. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/23/25 Full Review Read all reviews
