What to Know

Critics Consensus

Josh Hartnett's go-for-broke performance gives Fight of Flight wings, sustaining this daffy action-comedy at an entertaining cruising altitude that refreshingly doesn't wear out its welcome.

Joe Leydon Variety Josh Hartnett is unabashedly bonkers as a disgraced ex-Secret Service agent who gets a shot at redemption — but only if he can survive being shot, stabbed and repeatedly pulverized. May 8, 2025 Full Review Mick LaSalle San Francisco Chronicle The violence gets cranked up to 11 after about 30 minutes, before we have anything resembling a rooting interest, and the violence stays there for most of the remaining hour. None of it has impact. Rated: 1/4 May 8, 2025 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter [Josh Hartnett's] charisma and surprising flair for physical comedy elevate this B-movie into something approaching A-level status, even if it’s ultimately undercut by its low-budget limitations and awkward tonal shifts. May 8, 2025 Full Review Jonathan W. Hickman The Newnan Times-Herald The sheer audaciousness of “Fight or Flight” overcomes its derivative shortcomings. Rated: 7/10 May 9, 2025 Full Review Jared Mobarak Hey, Have You Seen ...? Chandran and Sackhoff are good as the two actors with enough screen-time to not be relegated into bit parts like everyone else. So, it's up to Hartnett to carry Fight of Flight on his shoulders and the tone is right in his wheelhouse to ensure he does. Rated: 7/10 May 9, 2025 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a fun, larger-than-life premise that’s employed to mostly watchable yet distressingly erratic effect...
