Russell P Great movie about the end of Nixon’s presidency. I read the book which details Nixon’s final year in office with meticulous detail. The movie is easily the best book to movie production I’ve ever seen. Obviously the book contains more details than the movie but all of the main points are a covered. Lane Smith played a perfect Richard Nixon. He absolutely nailed the part. Watching Pat Nixon and her daughters in the movie was almost like watching a newsreel. They looked exactly like the real people. You can watch it free on YouTube and Tubi! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/09/24 Full Review Steve D Powerful look at the last days of a presidency. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Lane Smith does the best ever impersonation of Nixon, followed up with generally good performances from the rest of the cast. Perhaps it's too long, and some scenes are unnecessary to underline Nixon's character, like his relation to Brezhnev. However, it's well executed cinematografically, with a credible dramatization of the events. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member If you are as interested in history movies as I am, you would love this film. The Watergate scandal era is a very interesting one and I found the movie very well paced and never losing its momentum. Lane Smith is amazing as Nixon. He played the role very well down to Nixon's mannerisms and body language. The script tends to let you make your own conclusions as to how guilty Nixon was, showing you a very fractured and troubled personality. I would really recommend this film!
