Breslin, whose recent resume hasn't lived up to her Oscar nomination for "Little Miss Sunshine," needs to find something worthy of her talents. An Oscar nominee shouldn't even watch "Final Girl," much less star in it. Go to Full Review

This patchy, underwritten thriller could almost pass for a critique of any number of genre forebears in which the mere presence of a hot, ass-kicking female avenger is meant to seem subversive. Go to Full Review

Rida I @a_lady Jan 1 I want to give this movie zero stars. I cannot believe this idea was pitched and immediately put on screen without thinking about anything beyond a string of subpar fight scenes. The film begins with a man recruiting a child to avenge his "wife and daughter." The plot jumps twelve years later, yet the murderers are somehow still teenagers. One has a seventeen-year-old girlfriend, and they supposedly started dating at fourteen. So we assume they are the same age. Ok, but at what age did they kill the man’s wife and daughter? And nobody linked these boys to 21 disappearances?? It’s obvious that no real thought went into the story. The boys’ home lives are presented as abstract or artsy, but it feels like a weak attempt to disguise the complete lack of narrative logic. By all means, show women who fight back—but why can’t they just be normal girls smart enough to say "no" to getting into a car with four strangers? Twelve years of training for one hour in the woods—hardly an assassin. See more Paul O @pjkeys Dec 31 What a turkey! Why couldn't the local police figure out that every time a girl goes missing after going on a date with four teenage boys dressed in tuxedos who pick her up at the diner in front of a multitude of witnesses, that the boys might have something to do with the murders? The place is a small town, so small that the only buildings are a diner, and a few mansions. The woods are conveniently populated with a plethora of spotlights that are shining in all directions and shine down on each killing scene. The stupidest movie I have ever seen. If you gave this movie more than two stars, I reported your review for being offensive. See more krissi E Oct 19 I’m only quarter of the way through but felt completed to write a review. The acting is so stiff from the main two who I’ve seen separately in much more engaging performances. The chemistry just isn’t there and it’s a confusing, forced dynamic. Not even gotten to any main action yet. See more molly c Aug 7 Possibly the worst movie I have ever watched. See more J.N. J Jul 4 Whoever wrote this should be lobotomized.
