Joe Neumaier New York Daily News Breslin, whose recent resume hasn't lived up to her Oscar nomination for "Little Miss Sunshine," needs to find something worthy of her talents. An Oscar nominee shouldn't even watch "Final Girl," much less star in it. Rated: 0/5 Aug 13, 2015 Full Review Justin Chang Variety This patchy, underwritten thriller could almost pass for a critique of any number of genre forebears in which the mere presence of a hot, ass-kicking female avenger is meant to seem subversive. Aug 13, 2015 Full Review Chuck Bowen Slant Magazine The filmmakers never really answer inevitable questions: What's the point of these fussy allusions? Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 10, 2015 Full Review Joey Keogh Wicked Horror Final Girl is more interesting in concept than it is a fully fleshed out idea. Rated: 4/10 Oct 3, 2019 Full Review Zena Dixon Real Queen of Horror Final Girl is the directorial debut of photographer Tyler Shields and he delivers us all a visually beautiful film! Rated: 3/5 Aug 30, 2018 Full Review Zach Lorenzini Common Sense Media Tasteless thriller deals with rape, assault, and abuse. Rated: 1/5 Sep 4, 2015 Full Review Read all reviews

Ethan L Watched this because clips kept popping up on facebook; the premise was interesting enough but, while good at times, was ultimately underdeveloped and feels at times more like a rough cut student film. As a result a lot fails to land, the dialogue in particular feeling hollow- only saved by the great actors delivering it. Some creative editing might have helped too, adding a touch of intrigue to the characters and story instead of being a standard A to B to C plot. Just about worth the £2 rental price overall. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 08/18/23 Full Review Angela G Spoilers- Film focuses more on visuals than the actual characters. Breslin does the best with what she is given to work with but dialogue lacks. Audience is left in a haze mainly because there is no real character arc. What does Veronica really gain from this experience, she ends the movie exactly where she began it. "People die all the time" Did she truly care about the other girls or was it just her Stockholm syndrome. Falling in love with her abusive trainer and ending the movie right back with him? Eh. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/10/23 Full Review Emilliano Jr S Dull indie horror film. Poor little less miss sunshine Abigail to cast in this boring, tasteless film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/09/23 Full Review Margaret Y What's with the negative reviews? In the olden days of the 1990s we enjoyed unusual films with odd artistic vision. Like 'Dark City'. Twin Peaks meets Heathers meets Dead Poets Society. If you know, you know. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/29/23 Full Review Lorena S Waste of my time.
