This is a standard rom-com but from a community that doesn't often get to be heard. It has plenty to recommend it and is light, well acted and pleasant. It could have focused more tightly on the central characters and would then have been excellent in its genre but its still a nice watch.

The film falls with clunky, unrealistic dialogue which doesn't flow, flat characters with no development and flesh, and a weird use of sound mixing that just lets down the production value of the film. Only saving grace is the chemistry of the two lead actors who we don't see together enough as the film decides to focus on one-dimensional supporting and minor characters.

The sad thing is, the cast genuinely give it their all, but the flabby script and lack of direction let them down. Even the editing, which should be so smooth it goes unnoticed, is poor - with lingering shots after the characters move out of view.
