Dennis Harvey Variety Feels secondhand and contrived. Jun 7, 2013 Full Review Nicolas Rapold New York Times Whether stuffing its graceless hero into a clown suit on a construction site or sending him on a first date with an offbeat neighbor to give a safe-sex talk at a home for the elderly, the film is funny only on paper, if that. Rated: 2/5 Jun 7, 2013 Full Review Sherrie Li Village Voice Anything heartbreaking or somber is touched upon with the barest of brushes or converted into a comic Band-Aid, leaving you stuck on the cusp of the last stage of grief. Jesse B The main character's family is quirky and hilarious sometimes. Bizarre plot and scenes, which can appeal to some. Decent humor, overall. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Filme de sesão da tarde. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member This is the best comedy I have seen this year. I see by reviews that I am alone in this opinion, but that's never stopped me before. What is probably true is that if you watch it with someone else, one of you will HATE it. This movie deals with real issues in a funny and frank way. I liked all the characters and I laughed through the WHOLE movie. There are many tender moments that were wasted on the other reviewers, and the humor is quirky, like all the characters. There's some rough language, and certainly more than one adult theme. Not for kids, but for an adult that doesn't want the same old romantic comedy, this is an "A+<" IMHO. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member How is this movie not bigger? SO good, so funny! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Odd ball romantic comedy that is familiar so if you are in the mood for an off beat rom com then have a watch it is average but I enjoyed the cast and the difference in not using the standard grade actors for this style film. It also doesn't take itself serious good directing.
