Marc Z This is a well made, albeit very 90's, telling of a, supposedly, true story of five co-workers in Arizona that either witnessed an Alien abduction, or whee part of an elaborate scam. The acting is good by the solid cast. I think, the late, James Garner, provides the best performance. The story is about the situation and the reaction to it in a small town, and beyond. It is not, in and of itself, an Alien abduction movie. The Direction and cinematography are decent. The special effects in the retelling of the alleged abduction are very eerie and well done. The movie was quite popular, but I never saw it. It is very topical now because of the UFO news stories and Congressional hearings. I am not all that familiar with the source material. I do not know how true to is to the stories related at the time; however, it does not purport to make definitive claims. It simply looks to recount the facts surrounding the disappearance and what was alleged. This is, as much, a relationship film as it is an alien abduction story. Worth seeing.
