Brent McKnight The Last Thing I See Yuen takes all of the tropes and formulas you've come to know and cranks every last one of them up to a ludicrous degree, including the story and action. Seriously, the blanks and squib budget on this movie must have been absolutely nuts. Audience Member Firestorm is Andy Lau at his finest. Lau plays a tough as nails cop who is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. This film is notable for being darker, grittier and significantly bloodier than previous Hong Kong action films, such as Cold War (2012). The ending is quite nicely done, although a better fate could have been thought of for Gordon Lam's character. This film has excellent cast, score, action and visuals. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Just a fun movie. The last half hour was crazy and completely worth it. Have some fun with it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member I was completely losing it. Why not just bombing everyone & everything up then??! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Malgré quelques lacunes , Firestorm est un bon film policier d'origine chinoise qui plaira surment aux amateurs du genre Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member WOW THIS IS AMAZING GREAT MOVIE, GOOD JOB..VERY GOOD DRAMA AND ACTION..ð~ð~ð~ð~ð~ð~ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member You can only trust a gun when running a business. Police Inspector Liu is investigating a series of high profile robberies led by a local crime organization. The thieves have high powered weapons that make them almost impossible to catch during the heists leading to numerous police and civilian death. An old school friend of Inspector Liu volunteers to help him uncover those responsible in exchange for a life of freedom and protection for him and his girlfriend. They both find that they've bitten off more than they can chew as the lives of them and their family quickly become at risk. "Shoot me! Do you dare, Good Cop?" Alan Yuen, director of Princess D, delivers Firestorm in his third directorial major motion picture. The storyline for this picture is just okay but the action scenes are intense and very well done. The special effects for the bullets/shootout were executed very well. The cast also delivers better than average performances and includes Andy Lau, Ka Tung Lam, Chen Yao, and Ray Liu. "She's gone." I am a Andy Lau fan and randomly came across this on Netflix. This was just okay. The film is entertaining and I did enjoy watching it from beginning to end, but this wasn't as good as similar film Infernal Affairs. Overall, I recommend this film if you're a fan of the genre or Lau, but this is far from a classic or must see. "Boss says we have a spy."
