Mark Jackson Epoch Times German director Uwe Boll has the distinction of being one of the world's worst filmmakers yet nevertheless manages to make movies that are oddly watchable. Rated: 1.5/5 Sep 16, 2024 Full Review Maxance Vincent InSession Film The rest of the movie isn't particularly good, and many of its moving plot threads don't go anywhere. In fact, this entire 89-minute picture can be summed up as patient worldbuilding... Rated: C- Sep 4, 2024 Full Review Josh Bell Crooked Marquee Plays like it was made by aliens studying the concept of the buddy-cop movie. Rated: D Sep 3, 2024 Full Review Mark Dujsik Mark Reviews Movies Even with something as simple as a cop drama ... writer/director Uwe Boll doesn't seem to comprehend the basics of storytelling. Rated: 0.5/4 Aug 30, 2024 Full Review Robert Kojder Flickering Myth A nihilistic, copaganda exercise that is somehow flat in its relentlessness. It also goes out of its way to reinforce its belief that negative stereotypes are mostly accurate, complete with a childish tirade against woke culture Rated: 0.5/5 Aug 28, 2024 Full Review Casey Chong Casey's Movie Mania A misguided cop drama lacking dramatic stakes. Seth Michael M Saw the film with my mom. She’s 83 and grew up in Brooklyn and Queens… she loved the fast pace of the film and the shots of NYC. A lot of the shots were both gritty and beautiful at the same time (if that makes sense). I feel like you not only captured NYC but a very special and specific time it’s going through… I thought it really captures this unique time after Covid when the soul of the city has been beaten out of it. I related to Deo a lot. The line about time square being better with the porn? What a great line! I was like fuck yeah that was the soul of NYC!!! As an acting teacher, my students come here looking for Taxi Driver and Midnight Cowboys Time Square and find a giant Mall that looks like Disneyland meets Vegas!! I say the same thing “ it was better with the porn” I think it would be a great series. And I think Willie Carpenter would make a great wisdom character. And having Tango bring humanity back to Deo is a great touch. It gives them a way to communicate episode to episode….as he walks Tango and meets up with the old man. I was really happy with my bit with Willie too It’s my most relaxed and at ease performance on film ever. I’m so glad that we made that happen. The chemistry between the two main characters was outstanding. And I really liked the strength of the woman in charge of the department and her ability to be protective and crushing at the same time. I think it would be a wonderful series. It reminded me a bit of the pilot of Firefly which is one of my favorite cancelled series…. The banter chemistry acting violence etc… it was to good for TV… It was nice to watch coming off my post show, post election depression… Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/15/24 Full Review Kava C I picked this film because it looked like an underdog. I thought I'll be able to tell in a few minutes if this is garbage. Shockingly it was not garbage. The acting was really good and the direction was excellent - a lot of attention to detail and implication. I found myself on the edge of my seat but also surprised by the timing and action that did occur. Overall believable and packed with an evolving yet simple story with empathetic characters that left me wanting to watch more. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/10/24 Full Review Audience Member Surprisingly interesting movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/30/24 Full Review W Gordon M I enjoyed it, has a bit of NYPD Blue about it… Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/26/24 Full Review Eileen D Kristen Renton is this movie’s only saving grace ( not just because she’s good looking) because she doesn’t overact every single scene. Too bad the no one else knows what they are doing including/especially the director. Save some dogs for Kristen! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/19/24 Full Review Ehioghae J It’s an absolutely good movie.. I wish they can take it to series irrespective of the part two. Jefferson. From Nigeria. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/17/24 Full Review Read all reviews
