Audience Member This movie was, to be blunt, not good. It follows the same plot as every other low budget Hallmark romance; girl returns to small town, meets cute guy, misunderstanding occurs, they make up, and the girl decides to stay in the town to be with the guy in the end. Predictable plot aside, this movie was poorly made. The acting is horrible, the special effects/lighting are awful, and the props are even worse. There’s a scene where Kendall (female lead) and her father are talking in their house (at night) and there’s this incredibly distracting tree outside that is so obviously fake it hurts. As though this wasn’t bad enough, there’s also a strange light shining beneath it that makes no sense. It’s the dead of night; what’s up with this light? Are the mole men escaping from the ground? Things like this happen countless times throughout the movie. Onto the acting. Oh boy, was the acting in this movie just awful. The main offender was Kendall’s brother, Billy. He doesn’t really have a personality; he’s just your standard happy-go-lucky ambitious side character with a winning smile he flashes every two seconds. An actual line of his is “On it, sis!” What is this, a TVO Kids show? Who talks like that? I could go on, but hopefully this review convinces you to not watch this movie. The only reason I didn’t give it a half star is that me and my family got a few laughs out of mocking it. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/01/25 Full Review Read all reviews
