Audience Member This was a fantastic film. It was easy to digest and understand with interesting graphics and incredible interviews with CEOs, economists and businesspeople. It presented a problem facing American capitalism today (maximizing shareholder value) and gave attainable solutions (valuing all stakeholders) both for big businesses and individuals. The director, producers and all involved in this film did an amazing job! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A refreshing take on a dicey subject. Capitalism is a subject that has had so much negative press, I had a hard time imagining that anyone would be able create a compelling case for it being a good thing. Instead of pushing viewers to believe that greed within capitalism as we know it is the answer, Fishing with Dynamite offers a moralistic point of view and highlights the need for change. Those working within the business industry need to change how they talk about and view business, it's not just about the bottom line! And, those who are consumers need to ask more of the businesses that they purchase from. Fishing with Dynamite places a strong focus on the rising generation and their business ideals and how it could change the world. Palatable, relatively short, and well done! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The storytelling is on point. Greed is not good. But they do go further than that. Excellent look into business and how it can save the world if done properly. Solid and short documentary. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie showing me capitalism as I never thought it was. It was a eye opening moment, watching this showed me how bad our economy has come. The directors did their research and showed the facts. Seeing the facts showed me that our economy has hope. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member I realize that any cursory glance at this movie might give the impression that it's some corporate apologist movie, the kind that Ayn Rand would salivate over. Thankfully its not that movie, it is an insightful look into how we got into this economic mess where corporations seem to get away with murder; literally in some cases! What's even better is this movie actually has some idea on how we can fix this, and they don't involve violent overthrow of the bourgeois. The answer lies in a more humane form of business that takes into account every single person in the distribution chain, not just shareholders. I'm obviously giving a summary of the complex theories in the film, but I can say they were incredibly convincing. This will educate you regardless of your political leaning.
