Carla Hay Culture Mix No one watching Fist of the Condor should expect great acting performances. This action flick delivers exactly what its intended audience wants: impressive martial arts and other adrenaline-packed stunts. The movie's story is mildly entertaining. Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Jacob Oller Paste Magazine If you’re looking for 85 minutes of old-school action and the best pure martial arts movie of the year, look no further. Jun 30, 2023 Full Review Sean Gilman In Review Online Everything in Fist of the Condor is slippery, itself and its opposite. The twin gimmick is less a kind of Fight Club-style projection than it is a reflection of unavoidable divisions, both in and around the text. Apr 8, 2023 Full Review Travis Hopson Punch Drunk Critics Fist of the Condor hits hard, and Zaror is primed to be the next big thing in action flicks. Rated: 4/5 Apr 7, 2023 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth We Live Entertainment The joy is seeing the several fight sequences that emphasize the moves on display. The level of respect shown in the build-up to these bouts is also welcome, recalling the days of Bruce Lee. Rated: 7/10 Apr 6, 2023 Full Review Christian Valentin Spectrum Culture There’s something compelling here, whether it’s the uniquely Chilean riff on genre formula or just its action star’s energy radiating as he broods and demolishes foes. Jeremy D Time well spent. Brilliant film. Well-acted, written, directed, action-choreographed, and good production values. Looking forward to Part Two. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/16/23 Full Review Leonardo M When kill bill meets a more classic version of old kung Fu movies, like those of Bruce lee's, we get something like this, its a weird movie but without a doubt what it does it does right. Also this movie has some of the best fighting scenes in this genera I've seen where the fighting feels fluid and realistic without overexaggerating too many of the moves (like the classic 100 flying jumps in a kung fu movie) , even though it featured some of this magic it does not over use it so when we get this moments they feel that much more impressive. I don't want to get too much into the plot or story so I'll just say that is where it feels near to kill bill. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/09/23 Full Review Mike K I'm a fan of good films and good martial arts films. There are some good fight scenes here but in between the film is slow and a little ponderous spouting too much pop-psych wisdom. I'd say it's mediocre at best. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/17/23 Full Review JC's Scatter-Brained T Fist of the Condor has great cinematography, editing, and acting performances as well as choreography from Marko Zaror. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/12/23 Full Review ulric h This by far is one of Marko Zaror's best martial arts movies. Considering the great success of John wick Chapter 4, Fist of the Condor adds further in depth excitement to Marko Zaror's Pantheon of his Martial Arts body of work and has in my opinion excelled him to the Great status of Scott Adkins and more. Fist of the Condor, is a compelling story that s Plays on the philosophical aspects of Martial arts and the intensity of revenge and justice. The story does interweave between past and present but gives more insight as to what is going on with the characters in the present because of their past. I love the fact that they also have paid homage to older martial arts films like kill Bill volumes 1 and 2 and and have Introduced new martial art styles on the screen of ancient origin in the forms of Rumi Maki which is an Ancient Incan Martial art which is what the fist of the condor is based on and Kalaripayattu an Ancient martial art from India performed by Eyal Meyer. I definitely recommend Fist of the condor if you like Intriguing Martial arts and choreography and a philosophical story arc. Marko Zaror has done well in creating this intricate martial arts film and I would love to see more in the future. This was truly awesome movie that like a cliffhanger keeps you wanting more. I look forward to a sequel and More of Marko Zaror and Eyal Meyer. This deserves a solid 4 out of 5 stars in my opinion. Definitely Recommended Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/09/23 Full Review Will Great cinematography, great action and a straightforward plot (including training montages) that call back to Kung Fu films of the 70s. Marko Zaror's best. I expect this to become a martial arts cult classic series of films. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/08/23 Full Review Read all reviews
