Synopsis
The ascension of a new music director is a trying period for any symphony, particularly when the orchestra in question is suffering financial problems. In the fall of 2004, conductor Peter Oundjian finds himself in just that situation as he first steps up to the podium as the music director of the august Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Filmmaker Barbara Willis Sweete's documentary shadows Oundjian during his first week, which includes appearances by classical superstars Renee Fleming and Yo-Yo Ma.
