Bosley Crowther New York Times From green Swiss valleys to mountain snow fields, there is some stunning scenery in this picture. That is worth seeing, as is the struggle of the two stars up the mountain. The rest of the picture and the rest of the cast are of little account. Steve D Too much talent to be this bad Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Impressive adventure film centered around two brothers and their different views of the world and their roles in it. Emotional relationship of good vs evil. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review andy f A deliciously inventive twist on a mountaineering tale. Not as schmaltzy as it looks, Spencer Tracy is as terrific as he ever was and a frighteningly young Robert Wagner manages to hold his own. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Good movie about good and bad inside all people. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A quirky movie based on a real air India crash in the early fifties. The film has many flaws not least the incredible premise that Tracy and Wagner are brothers. The dated propensity for western actresses to play Indians with a little boot polish is funny rather than offensive. The Hindi however is genuine. What really is affecting and genuinely moving is Tracey's performance especially his display of compassion for the injured indian passenger. The cinema going audience of that era new a thing or two about great acting and what made a true movie star. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Was a good fun watch . Mr Tracy climbing the mountain apart, was a good emotional drama Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
