It isn't as solid as the original serial, but it is still a whole lot of fun to watch and enjoy. Flash Gordon serials were clearly of the highest of quality the old serials had to offer, when you see things like the Batman serials you can really see the difference. Flash Gordon's Trip to Mars is definitely an enjoyable follow-up to the original.
