Gregory Kirschling Entertainment Weekly Innocuous but too-cutesy affair. Rated: C+ Jul 21, 2004 Full Review Richard James Havis The Hollywood Reporter A good-natured Indian-American romantic comedy in the style of Bend It Like Beckham. Jul 20, 2004 Full Review Joshua Land Village Voice The constant cell phone chatter and pervasive split screen do little to prop up a limp, poorly structured screenplay. Jul 20, 2004 Full Review Joshua Tanzer Offoffoff A pleasing sendup of dating, high-tech contract employment and the immigrant experience. If you're Indian-American, you can add five or six stars to any critic's rating. Rated: 3/4 Aug 7, 2004 Full Review Maitland McDonagh TV Guide The cast, a mix of beauty-contest winners, models, veteran actors and newcomers, is as diverse as the characters they play and work together surprisingly smoothly. Audience Member A good quirky comedy movie revolving around the lives of young Indian immigrants in US. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member I really liked this movie. Witty, quirky, and original. Romantic. A good cultural ride. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Maybe I'm missing something here because I'm not Indian, but I doubt it. This is a film that feels amateurish rather than independent. The non-linear storyline doesn't really work and the acting is stiff, making this akin to a bad soap opera at times. That's not to say there aren't some fun moments, which there are, but they are few are far between. Watchable, but not recommended. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member A really well made ABCD film. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Awesome movie. Watched it a billion times already. Very funny and hits close to home. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A light hearted and a comical entertainer!!
