Angie Han FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's one of those family movies that are kind of cute to watch if you have a kid to entertain, but otherwise there's no reason for an adult to watch it. Feb 20, 2021 Full Review Adam Graham Detroit News It might not make you believe in the superpowers of squirrels, but for a quirky time-passer, you could do a lot worse. Rated: B- Feb 19, 2021 Full Review Kate Erbland indieWire We can't all have a supeheroic squirrel to help find our own purposes in life, but "Flora & Ulysses" posits that we don't need one - just a willingness to welcome their special kind of magic, in whatever shape it may take. Rated: B Feb 18, 2021 Full Review Michael Dequina TheMovieReport.com Goes down easy with audiences of all ages, even if only the youngest of the lot is likely to remember it for long. Rated: 3/4 Oct 30, 2021 Full Review Witney Seibold Critically Acclaimed Podcast A horrid, sugary abomination that seems to exist only to repeatedly mention I.P. recently acquired by Disney. Sep 13, 2021 Full Review Audrey Fox We Live Entertainment Bolstered by committed performances from the adults on board and one incredibly likable kid in the lead role, Flora & Ulysses is a light, enjoyable romp that never takes itself too seriously and lets itself just have fun. Dale R A comic loving girl rescues a squirrel who ends up becoming a superhero in this Disney+ original movie. This film has a Disney Channel movie feel to it, with an over the top comedic villain, played by Danny Pudi. Matilda Lawler plays the lead role well. There were a few characters that didn’t translate well from the novel that could have been left out of the film. The editing seemed off as well as a few spoken lines late in the film seemed out of order. The climatic scene was a little over the top for me as well. Check this film out if it sounds interesting to you. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Carter C There’s basically no point this movie should exist. Everything from the acting to the story to the visual effects is corny and cheesy. It shouldn’t belong in the superhero genre, but should instead be placed in the relatable and humorous section of the streaming service it belongs to. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 05/16/24 Full Review Jeffrey M Flora and Ullysis was a awesome movie. I watched this movie kind of a long time ago, but I remember it was really good. This movie was one of my "random" Disney+ movies, so that's how I watched this movie before I read the book. Flora and Ullysis was a very interesting movie, and that means the book was very interesting to. I am reviewing only Disney+ movies today, and this is my third movie reviewing today. What a good movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/26/23 Full Review Minsway I loved this movie. Even as an adult, I found it to be fun and wholesome. Which is nice to enjoy a good movie. Wish there were more like this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/01/23 Full Review Richard L Starts off promising, with a warm and positive feel to its fun and original idea. It unfortunately falls off on its final third where the lazy decision to force in an antagonist turns the story of self-discovery and family into any generic talking animal movie. That said, it's very enjoyable for most of its runtime. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/01/23 Full Review Jai Never in my life have I ever thought or wanted to see a child put her mouth on the mouth of a squirrel. 2 stars solely because of that.
