Audience Member A movie that connects three entirely different love/ life storey's in the set up of a rural Spanish village. I would have watched on to see how the next generation of bachelorettes arriving in the dying village would have managed to make ends meet. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Rural areas around the world are being abandoned by its residents who look for all the opportunities a city bring. However, community organization plays a critical role in reversing this trend. Rural communities who refuse to die are more willing to try initiatives aiming to find wives for the unmarried rural men of the community. Within this context, and set in a village in Spain, the movie ¨Flores de Otro Mundo¨ tells the story of Spanish rural men looking for wives, the arrival of potential wives, and the clash of cultural differences among them. It is important to note that many of the villa residents of Canatalojas participated in the film, although the leading actors in this film were professionals. The film narrates three short stories of couples of rural men and women from another backgrounds, highlighting what makes these relationships to succeed or to fail. Women, especially from Latin America, are more willing to try their fortune in rural Spain, but are confronted to "another world" in which outsiders have a hard time to understand. The characters in this film are complex, but realistic and natural. Sometimes serious issues are taken with humor, and children´s performance provide a sweet note to the bitter story. I highly recommend this film, the script is intelligent and the performance is very good. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member interesting to say the least...
