A unique look at flying from Bob Hoover, a founding father of modern aerobatics. Too tall, with poor eyesight and an acute case of air sickness, Bob went on to become a fighter pilot, test pilot, air show pilot, and one of the best who ever lived. Harrison Ford, Carroll Shelby, and other aerospace legends bring Bob's incredible story into the limelight.

Audience Member If you are a pilot you will love this film. I saw Bob Hoover fly at the Abbottsford Airshow near Vancouver, BC, Canada. His Shrike Commander aerobatic show is the most precise routine I have ever seen. You have to be an air show pilot to appreciate how good a stick and rudder man he is. This film is the story of his life. There will never be another pilot exactly like Bob. No one will ever have the opportunities to do all of the things he has done. I have the DVD and have watched it many times. Check out his book as well. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member An awesome documentary of the greatest pilot that ever lived!
